The soviet emblem

It was confirmed at December, 25th,1989 by the city council. In a purple field is argent double bend. In the first part is argent date "1887" and a railway emblem (the crossed wrench and a hammer). In the second part are the argent flower of a cherry and the abaised wavy fess, under which are argent sickle and hammer. The argent chief is charged by the sable city name in the Ukrainian language. The emblem means the Southwest railway on which station Zhulyany is located. The wavy fess means river Zhelyan'. The author is V.Gomanovs'kyi.
