Tsiurupyns`k

On the place of the modern Tsiurupyns'k in the X - XIII centuries there was a large trade settlement Oleshshia. It is often mentioned in chronicles.

In 1711 after destroying the Old Sich by tsarist's soldiers some Zaporozhians founded Oleshkivs'ka Sich in the ravine Oleshok. It existed till 1733.

The 1st emblem of the Russian period

 

 

The first emblem of the Russian period was confirmed on the 17th of November 1844. On a shield there was an emblematic picture of a river carrying in a gules field an or scepter of a state to symbolize that the Dnipro carries abundance and wealth to the region under the protection of the Russian state.

The 2nd emblem of the Russian period

 

 

The second emblem of the Russian period was confirmed on the 21st of June 1891. In an azure field there was an argent Zaporozhian boat with furled sails. In the canton there was an emblem of Tavrijs'ka province. The shield is crowned with an argent mauerkrone with three embattlements and within two or spikes entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St.Alexander.

Project of XIX century

 

 

In an azure field is argent wavy bend sinister with two sable cancers. In the canton is an emblem of Tavrijs'ka province. The shield is crowned with an argent mauerkrone with three embattlements and within two or spikes entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St.Olexander. The emblem was not approved.

B.Kene project

 

 

On the 28th of August 1875 B.Kene worked out a project of a new emblem of the town: in an or field is an azure wavy bend sinister. In the canton there was an emblem of Tavrijs'ka province. The shield is crowned with an argent mauerkrone with three embattlements and within two or spikes entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St.Alexander. The emblem was not approved.
